Some things I've learned about my own spirituality or connecting with higher power

As a shamanic practitioner I obviously think of myself as being a bit "spiritual". What does spirituality mean to me? The dictionary defines it as, "Being concerned with human spirit or soul rather than material or physical things." To me it has come to mean a bit more than that and maybe a bit less. It encompasses being concerned with every living being, with the earth, nature and the cosmos. Every thing is connected therefore I am everything. I am creation itself and so are YOU! Does this sound too simple or maybe too deep? We tend to over complicate things. Take a look at the many different religions and the dogma associated with them. Then reflect on one of the basic commonalities: L

Five things I've learned about motivating myeslf

And achieving my dreams! The other day someone asked me how I keep motivated in my business since I'm self-employed. (Self employed does NOT mean isolation....lol) How do I stay focused on achieving my own dreams? I paused. I've said before I have one foot in this reality and the other in the cosmos - with two very different businesses. My work is constantly putting me in front of different people, many of whom are in need of a "fix" - they have business problems and they have personal problems; sometimes it's really a bit of both! Mixed bag - Mysticism to Multi Media

Kind of rant, I suppose. When someone asks me what I do for a living I generally say, “I live.. What about you?” Of course, that’s not the answer they want. What can I say, I’m a mixed bag. Always have been. Always will be. Kind of like a gypsy. That’s why I love the tagline, “mysticism to multi-media”. I’m very clear on how I work. I work with one foot in this world and the other in the cosmos. I’m really good at the work I commit to doing, otherwise I wouldn’t do it. I thrive on change and spontaneity so working in different capacities, in different realms, comes easy for me. As a self-employed person, most of the labor that goes into my business is done by me or a handful of peopl

Flower Meditation

Confucius said our happiness lies within ourselves. We hold the key to the golden light of love inside of us – we simply need to believe in our potential to unlock the doors. There is no judgement inside only pure love, acceptance, joy… Meditation can be the first step to reaching that place inside, quieting your mind long enough to reach your inner self and hear the inspiration, to feel the energy as it flows through every inch of your being. Since most or many of us are feeling so rushed and busy, start with a few minutes.
