Despacho Ceremonies
Personal and Group Despacho Ceremonies
Facilitated by Teri Williams
The Despacho ceremony comes to us from the high Andes of Peru, carried forward by the Q’ero people, descendants of the Inca. In the Quechua language, Despacho means ‘dispatch’ or ‘shipment.’
Think of it as a sacred letter, a prayer bundle that we build with love and care, and then offer back to the universe.
It is a way of sending gratitude, healing, and prayers for balance into the great web of life.

Despacho Ceremony - Celebrate, heal, give thanks
If you landed here, you are ready and in a beautiful space to begin connecting more deeply with Mother Earth and the Cosmos, sending waves of love and good intentions out to the Universe!
A Despacho Ceremony is a traditional Andean ritual, originating from the Q’ero people of Peru, that serves as a sacred offering to Pachamama (Mother Earth), the Cosmos, and the unseen realms of Spirit. Built with natural elements such as flowers, seeds, grains, and written prayers, a despacho becomes a living prayer bundle—woven with gratitude, intention, and love.
Why participate in a despacho? Because in a world that often feels fast, disconnected, and uncertain, we long for ways to come back into harmony—within ourselves, with each other, and with the Earth that sustains us. A despacho ceremony is a profound way to:
🐦🔥 Mark life transitions with meaning and blessing
🐦🔥 Call in healing, balance, and clarity during challenging times
🐦🔥 Celebrate milestones such as births, marriages, or anniversaries
🐦🔥 Offer gratitude for abundance and the beauty of life
🐦🔥 Reconnect with the rhythms of nature, community, and Spirit
At its heart, the despacho is about reciprocity—a reminder that we are not separate, but deeply woven into the great web of life. Reconnecting to Mother Earth and the Cosmos is not just nourishing; it is imperative at this time in human history. When we pause to give back, we realign ourselves with balance, love, and the natural cycles of creation.
I have been blessed to study with Peruvian elders and facilitators for several years, carrying forward their wisdom with respect and care. Over the years, I have offered Despacho ceremonies many times—both in private practice and in groups—and I continue to perform them regularly as part of my spiritual path and service.
Private and Group Ceremonies are now available
Whether you join me individually or with a circle of loved ones, you are invited to experience this ancient ritual as a powerful way to anchor your intentions, express your gratitude, and open yourself to deeper harmony with the world around you.
I have created elaborate Despachos and very small Despachos, with a few simple offerings. Every one is unique, filled with the heart and praters of those who gather., guided by a pure intention to create greater harmony for all beings.
It is my hope that you will find joy and healing within the Sacred container of offering the Despacho, creating a deeper connection to your soul, the earth and the cosmos.
More on WHY we create a Despacho
A despacho ceremony is more than a beautiful bundle of leaves, flowers, and prayers—it’s a living altar. A sacred conversation between you and the unseen. When we gather to create one, we’re not just placing items in a bundle; we’re placing our intentions, our gratitude, our grief, and our dreams into the hands of Spirit.
Here’s what this powerful ritual can offer:
-
Realignment with Nature’s Wisdom: It reconnects us with Pachamama—Mother Earth—and reminds us that we are part of a greater rhythm, not separate from it.
-
Energetic Clearing and Renewal: As we release what no longer serves, we make space for clarity, healing, and new possibilities to flow in.
-
Heartfelt Gratitude in Action: Gratitude isn’t just a feeling—it’s a frequency. A despacho amplifies that frequency and sends it out into the universe like a prayer on the wind.
-
Healing Across Time and Space: Whether you’re calling in healing for yourself, your lineage, or the collective, the despacho becomes a vessel for transformation.
-
Sacred Reciprocity (Ayni:) We give thanks, we offer beauty, and in return, we receive blessings. It’s a dance of mutual respect between the seen and unseen worlds.
-
Community Connection and Shared Intention: When done in circle, the despacho weaves our individual prayers into a collective tapestry of hope, healing, and love.
-
Activation of Soul Desires: It’s a way to speak your truth, name your dreams, and call them into being with reverence and power.
-
A Pause for Presence: In a world that rushes, the despacho invites us to slow down, listen deeply, and remember what matters.
-
Ceremony as Medicine: The act of creating beauty with intention becomes a balm for the soul—a ritual of remembering, releasing, and renewing.
-
A Portal to the Sacred: Whether burned, buried, or offered to water, the despacho becomes a bridge between worlds—a tangible expression of your spiritual devotion.
