Honoring the Outside Cues That Bring You Back to Yourself

Sometimes, the world is so loud that we forget the wisdom in the quiet. But if we slow down enough, we start to notice the outside cues—the subtle, sacred invitations all around us to return to presence. A bird singing just when your mind begins to spiral. A sudden stillness in the air. A soft nudge from the wind. A bear covered in flowers. (See image below from my own backyard!) These are not just coincidences. They are whispers from life itself, inviting us to come home.
Tuning in to these cues begins with checking in with yourself regularly—not your feed, not the latest trend, not someone else’s version of a beautiful or seemingly shitty life.
Ask yourself: What do I love? What feels nourishing for me today? What does my body need in this moment? Am I moving from pressure—or from presence? This is sacred self-honoring. And it’s a practice. Not a performance.
The more I listened to my own rhythm and honored these quiet nudges, the clearer it became: I needed more space, more breath, more beauty. So, this summer, I’ve scaled my private practice way back, offering only limited part-time hours. I’ve been spending time in my garden, surrounded by flowers, trees, a bear, and sunlight, dirt under my fingernails, and joy in my heart. I’m focusing on what truly matters to me—the simple magic of being here.
And honestly? Social media almost made me miss it. The scroll is subtle, but powerful. Distraction builds. Suddenly, you’re stuck in a different timeline, doom scrolling, chasing stories that aren’t yours. But your soul doesn’t need more noise—it needs presence. It needs pauses. It needs beauty that comes from within, not from curated images or over exaggerated headlines.
So today, I invite you to listen—really listen—to what’s calling you back to yourself. A breath. A breeze. A bear. A question only you can answer. These small moments are big medicine.
You don’t need to do more. You just need to notice what’s already here. I can help with that! Schedule a session today and let's tune into what is speaking to your soul.
